This is a community entirely dedicated to Spike, the original character of the TV shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel". +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ this is a member-only community You must be 18 or older to be a member. We don't grant membership unless date of birth is given on the person's profile or comment on the welcome post. Posts are only viewable by members. Why? Well, you've seen the name of the community: we are not exactly playing safe and shy! +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ a few rules Everything posted (unless it relates to the nekid guest/mini nekid guest) should be about Spike. Alone of course but also with anybody/anything (because we're dirty like that.) The only exceptions are the monthly nekid guest, the mini-nekid guest on their scheduled days, and the special days (announced in the "missions" post at the beginning of the month) when other characters are allowed by themselves. This also means that (although we adore him and want to spend our days and our nights telling him how fabulous he is) this is not the place for posting James Marsters-centric things: there are lots of great communities dedicated to him, and they would welcome all such posts with open arms. About the monthly nekid guest: the current nekid guest can appear alone, with Spike, or with anybody else. Same goes for the mini nekid guest on their scheduled days. The nekid guest is chosen by yourselves, in a poll. The mini nekid guest is chosen by your mods, and is usually a minor character. You must be 18 or more to be a member. We don't grant membership unless date of birth is given on the person's profile or comment on the welcome post. Posts are only viewable by members (the default setting of the post is friend-only; please don't change it.) However, you still need to indicate pairings, possible warnings, and ratings very clearly when you post something: G, PG, PG13, R, NC-17 or adult"/"mature", or worksafe/SFW, not worksafe/NSFW for artwork... Whatever works for you, as long as any lingering innocent peep or people who work somewhere where they aren't allowed to drool all day know what they are getting themselves into. This goes also for posts with fake-cuts to your own LJ. We want our members to be able to see all posts. Posts to f-locked journals are not allowed ; if you intend to f-lock your post after some time, please say so in your post. We're also asking you not to disable comments when you post (just because, if you do so, we cannot tag your post afterwards.) +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ what can you post? This is first and foremost a community meant for fiction and artwork. It's all in the banner! However, we of course welcome lots of other things: videos, metas, screencaps... (Of course, anything posted should be your own, original work). We want to have something for everyone, and above all else we want to be inclusive and for everyone to have fun. We also like Spike-centric communities to be pimped so that we can all enjoy the goodness. But...there are some things that just don't really fit in and there are better places to post, e.g. multi-pairing or crossover communities and other fandoms/characters. Pimping your own LJ or making requests isn't really what this place is about either. Fake cuts to multi-fandoms posts are ok as long as your post is focusing mainly on Spike. Now, you know that your mods love you and we are all totally friendly and never bite unless asked (or chained up and forced, but that's a totally different story). So, if you have any doubts or questions or aren't sure whether something is allowed, then PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK! Now, let's all drool together :) +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ a quick note on plagiarism Obviously, don't do it. It's stealing and won't be tolerated. If we see an incident (e.g. direct plagiarism of another member's work), then the post will be deleted and you'll be removed from the comm. If we are made aware of an incident of which we have no direct evidence ourselves, then it will be a warning the first time around and the post will be deleted. (We're not witch-hunting type people and we're aware that mistakes get made in this fandom and rumours abound. Also, people might not be aware that someone's story affected them so much that they've really done more than pay homage to it etc etc.) However, two strikes and you're out.
